The labeling for Cosmedique says that it works by conditioning, restoring, and protecting the skin, helping it to reduce the signs of aging and to prevent further damage to the tissues and cellular structure of the face and other key areas. They do this by attempting to increase the overall levels of key nutrients that the skin needs, such as minerals, collagen, and fatty acids and other lipid structures.

They also claim to help with the proliferation of new skin cells, which is a key factor in keeping skin flexible, firm, and youthful looking. Another possible benefit that they mention is 24-hour hydration. While hydration is another one of the more important features of a skin care product, it is difficult to verify how long their product may be effective for, especially in regards to hydration levels, which are notoriously difficult to measure.

Despite their lack of posted information about their brand, our research team dug deeper and found out that they do seem to have a parent and several affiliate brands. Cosmedique is owned by a company known as Beauty Care Products, a cosmetics and wellness products manufacturer that has a somewhat negative reputation online.

They have a “D” rating with the Better Business Bureau, who received so many complaints about Beauty Care Products that they were forced to send correspondences seeking their cooperation in reforming their business practices. The BBB did not receive a reply from Beauty Care Products.

The main issue that previous customers have complained to the BBB about is their use of a somewhat misleading “free trial offer” program. There were also complaints that our team found that said that Beauty Care Products made charges on their credit cards without authorization beyond even those associated with the trial program.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

Cosmedique does not publish their official supplement facts or contents list, however they do list some ingredients in their advertisements, which include:

Caviar Extract: Chemicals that are theoretically derived from the eggs of the sturgeon fish, which are most known as an expensive culinary delicacy. What’s bad about Cosmedique?

One of the main issues that our team has with Cosmedique is their sales structure, which is extremely untraditional and relies on pricing that is far outside the range of what our team would consider normal for products in this category. If users sign up for the trial, they do not simply receive a sample tube of Cosmedique, but they are also enrolled in a program that charges them between $147.50-$187.50 every other month.

The explanation of this program is not prominently listed in the promotional materials for Cosmedique, leading many to believe that it is an intentionally misleading scam. The strangely high price that they charge does not seem to dispute this theory.
