How does Trigosamine work?

There isn’t much information provided about this supplement from any legitimate source. Most of what’s claimed is very general claims that you’ll often see for most supplements intended to boost joint health.

This is intended to provide a strong dosage strength formula of common ingredients seen in similar products. 3rd party websites are the only sources for information. It is intended to help prevent discomfort, support healthy cartilage and bones, and all while increasing range of motion.

This is intended to also help build more fluid around the joints to help them stay lubricated and fully active. The front of the bottle specifies its ability to help improve the following 3:

  • Mobility.
  • Comfort.
  • Flexibility.

It is also recommended to take 3 caplets one a day alongside food for improved absorption. There are trace amounts of carbohydrates, sodium, and 15 calories per serving.

Top Benefits: The active ingredients have a lot of research to support their use. There are also only natural ingredients added to the active formula.

Negatives: Likely discontinued and no longer backed by a return policy. A few customers were sent expired bottles. There is no information from the creators on what the specifics are of this product, or why it would be better than brands with the exact same formula.

After reviewing many joint health supplements we concluded that these 10 were the best overall.

Who makes this supplement?

Twinlab Consolidation Corporation is the owners and though they do not feature this on their official website, here are their contact details:

Address: 632 Broadway Suite 201

New York, NY 10012

Phone Number: (800) 645-5626

You can only find Trigosamine through 3rd party retailers, there is no mention of it on the official Twinlab website anymore. It’s unknown why this is so, and because of this, there is concern on whether or not they continue to make it fresh. This could mean that Trigosamine is discontinued, but it’s uncertain.  Some sites do say it is disconnected but others continue to sell it so it’s unknown who should be trusted.

You also aren’t back by a return policy through the creators.

The FDA sent them a warning that they were producing a supplement with a prescription drug, and they advised them to stop using it. Another issue was noted by the FDA in that one of their children’s multivitamins contained trace amounts of lead, which can be very dangerous to developing bodies.

Another FDA related issue came early in the company’s history after they promoted a weight loss diet which was potentially fatal.

The supplements featured in this link were considered to be the top ranking brands for natural joint pain relief.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

Sodium Hyaluronate: A protective fluid that surrounds the joints and connective tissue, it can help provide lubrication and allow for freer range of motion. When this degrades there is much less protection and it can increase the risk for discomfort and achy joints.

Though it is decreased over time, oral supplementing can potentially improve the fluid and support overall movement.

Glucosamine Hydrochloride: Known as an amino sugar, it is found in the human body. This can be supplemented to help provide a cushioning effect around the joints, preventing stiffness and preventing thinning of natural Glucosamine. It is used as a way to prevent osteoarthritis, preventing the loss of healthy joint tissue.

Chondroitin Sulfate: Typically added joint health ingredient that is around joints and cartilage. When supplemented it is intended to help prevent osteoarthritis. This can help reduce the natural breakdown of healthy joint tissue which comes naturally as human’s age.

Web MD notes that this is:

“LIKELY SAFE when taken by mouth”

A study by Bone and Cartilage Research Unit in Belgium said that it can have a:

“slow-acting effect on symptoms”

This was tested on knees that had suffered from osteoarthritis or OA as they call it.

Polyethylene Glycol: Common filler ingredient used as a laxative, to improve the free flowing of ingredients, and to increase absorption.

Microcrystalline Cellulose: Anti-caking inactive ingredient that can make a pill bulkier, this is extracted from a refined form of wood pulp. You’ll often see this as an ingredient within tablets or supplement pills.

Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose: Inactive chemically altered white powder that is a vegetarian friendly fuller. This can be used to thicken, coat and bind together other ingredients. It’s common to many kinds of pills.

Cholecalciferol: A common form of vitamin D that is used as a way to help prevent natural deficiencies. This is useful for improving bone health and it is naturally produced by the body when there is sun contact. It is also helpful at regulating mood and it’s an essential vitamin. Many potential side effects can come about when this is not taken absorbed on a daily basis. Some humans may have a harder time of making this when there is sun contact, which is why it is a common supplement taken on its own.

What’s good about Trigosamine?

The active ingredients all have 3rd party reviews which show their ability to help support joint health. This is why thee active ingredients are often included to similar brands.

You can also get a full bottle’s worth for a cheap cost on a few websites.

What’s bad about Trigosamine?

It may be that this is no longer made fresh. Judging from the 3rd party websites that mention this brand, there was mixed claims about it being either no longer made or sold only on questionable websites.  The official website does not feature this anymore, and they make no mention of it.

The ingredients are all very basic and you can find them in other brands. If this is truly discontinued, then the websites which sell it may be selling potentially expired or not as effective. It’s not recommended to use a supplement which may be nearing expiration. This may lead to some serious side effects, and there is no protection from a money back guarantee.

If it’s discontinued then it may be hazardous to use this even in small amounts. You aren’t able to sue the company in case of any issues since them they have decided to no longer provide it.

The ingredients in this may help improve joint health but they are common to so many other similar brands, there’s no real reason to favor this over other simple formulas.

These brands were considered to be the most effective at improving joint health.

What do consumers think about Trigosamine?

“Took some time but it ended up working for me”

“With arthritis pain it felt like nothing could help but this was a great solution that improved my joints”

“Yeah it was not effective for what I needed. No changes on my end but that’s just me”

“I ended up getting a bottle that expected in the same exact month and year that it was delivered so I wasn’t going to take it”

Conclusion

Judging from the available information it is very likely that this is discontinued, and it’s only sold on certain websites. Some customers have complained that they were sent expired product, and there is no indication that what is being sold will be fresh. This is no longer featured on the official website for unknown reasons. The creators have had a questionable history and the FDA has had to call them out for serious issues related to quality control and safety.

You’re not missing out on much since the formula is very basic and common to joint health supplements. There’s not much added to this and other supplements offer even more ingredients for a reduced cost. There were some positive reviews for this but its unknown if this is going to be fresh, and no money back guarantee is provided. Because of these major issues there is no reason to trust that it would be a safe purchase.

The brand that was the most impressive at supporting joint health, stability, and overall mobility was Flexitrinol. Inside of this natural brand is a unique formula of fatty acids, natural extracts, and nutrients which can help optimize joint function.
