How does TriFlex GNC work?

To take it properly they recommend a regimen of 3 capsules daily with meals if possible.  On the official website they don’t offer much of an explanation on to the specifics of how it works. They do say that pregnant, nursing or those with allergies to the ingredients should be careful to not take it.

They also advise not using it within 2 weeks of surgery. These are all common suggestions that are advised for similar supplements however. As far as what it can actually do there is no information provided in the form of proof. Most of the claims are vague suggestions that you’d hear from almost all joint health supplements.

Knowing what’s available about the main ingredients, it’s intended to help rebuild healthy tissue, prevent the breakdown of tissue, and support overall joint stability. But without hearing it direct from the official website, it raises doubts as to what the actual potential benefits may be. A more detailed description is needed for consumers to know if it’s right for them. Fortunately they do provide the full supplements facts list so we can fully review it.

Top Benefits: There’s high dosage strength of studied and renowned joint health ingredients. The active formula is also natural and backed by 3rd party research.

Negatives: Very simple formula you can find elsewhere. The company has also been outed for making unproven health claims about this supplement.  Only a few details are offered about this brand, raising questions about its use and worth.

Who makes this supplement?

The GNC or General Nutrition Centers, Inc. companies owns this and their contact information can vary depending on whether or not an individual store is selected, or the general headquarters. Here is their contact information for the general company:

Address: Pittsburgh, PA

Phone Number: (888) 462-2548

In 2024 there was a class action lawsuit filed against the company for false advertising claims. This including claims that TriFlex could be used for relieving joint discomfort, supporting mobility, and aiding flexibility.

A 30 day return is offered when purchased direct from the company, as long as the bottle sent back is still in “good condition”. It’s unknown what this means exactly, and it may cause consumers to be not able to make a return depending on how the company interprets this.

They have a note about arbitration on their terms and conditions which states that any issues with the company are settled by a 3rd party instead of a class action lawsuit. This may be because there have been numerous lawsuits, including one filed against them by an Attorney General for using a banned substance in their supplements.  BMPEA was a banned ingredient due to its serious potential side effects including heart attacks and even death.

The supplements here were considered to be the best at supporting overall joint health.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

Glucosamine Hydrochloride: Naturally found in the body, this chemical is sued to help provide a cushion like effect around the joints. This will naturally wear down causing joint stiffness and a lack of range of motion. It is a standard ingredient found in many joint health brands.

Chondroitin Sulfate: This chemical helps with the maintenance of cartilage; it can come naturally from many different sources and is often extracted from cow cartilage. By supplementing it can extend the longevity of healthy joint tissue, reducing the risk for osteoarthritis.

MSM: Also known as Methylsulfonylmethane, this chemical can be found in plants, humans, and animals. When added to supplements it’s often produced in a laboratory. This can help reduce chronic pain, inflammation, and all while supporting joint health. It is also a very common ingredient within joint health products.

Hyaluronic Acid (In the form of Sodium Hyaluronate): Found in the connective tissue of cartilage, this naturally wears down with age. Younger humans have more of this and when supplemented this is used to help increase the amount of protective fluid that exists around joints.

Crospovidone: Inactive additive that makes the entire formula free flowing, allowing it to help the other ingredients easier to absorb.  Drugs.com says that it is:

“not usually associated with toxicity”

Talc: A mineral that is used to help absorb moisture and to help prevent caking while working as a basic filler. This is often used in order to fill up space and to give pills more substance.

We’ve determined that the following 10 joint health supplements were the most effective overall.

What’s good about TriFlex GNC?

They provide large dosage strength of the active ingredients. The creators also provide a full supplements facts list with the inactive ingredients so consumers know whether or not it’s right for them.

Direct sales are offered and they do provide a money back return policy.

This isn’t meant to be a groundbreaking formula, only a simply blend of well-regarded and high dosage strength ingredients to help maximize the supplements overall potential.  Much of the active ingredients are added in a high amount that is above average.

We picked these 10 supplements as being the most beneficial joint health brands of this year.

What’s bad about TriFlex GNC?

Though they do have a money back return policy, the problem is that it’s undetermined whether or not it’s a good one. Only returns on “good condition” bottles are allowed, and this can mean a number of different things.  Without knowing the exact definition of this, it may lead to many unacceptable returns by the company.

They also don’t have anything unique in this such as fatty acids which are backed by studies showing they can reduce inflammation. Because there isn’t much included it’s hard to see how it would actually be more beneficial than other similar brands.

You can get the same exact formula from so many different brands, and this makes it a very generic and basic blend. There isn’t anything about this that you’d already find in almost all similar products.

The company also has been called out through a lawsuit for making unverified health claims. There is a questionable history with the company policies, and they have had other major lawsuits. This included making a supplement with a known FDA banned substance.

What do consumers think about TriFlex GNC?

“Really not sure what is up with this but I didn’t see any real changes but this may just be what I experienced”

“Helped me deal with some of the inflammation that made it tricky to work out. I can now squat like I used to”

“Uncertain so far, the results are likely mild if there is anything good about it”

“I ended up getting a nearly expired bottle, some serious issues with quality control on their end. Doesn’t seem OK I have to pay full price for a bad product. ”

Conclusion

The 4 active ingredients can be helpful at supporting joint health but the problem is that you’re not getting much from it. Countless other similar brands have the exact same formula, and some with even more added to it to help enhance the benefits. There has to be more included to ensure that it will be as effective at possible at supporting long-term joint health without there being a lag in results. The questionable money back return policy and forced arbitration also raises questions on whether or not the company can be trusted.

There was even a lawsuit filed against the company for TriFlex over claims that its health benefits were exaggerated and not proven. This may be the reason why they have very little offered in the form of helpful information. Most of the research has to be done by consumers since the official website is very bare and only has a few sentences to explain what this is meant to do.

Flexitrinol was our favorite joint health supplement because it has a comprehensive enough formula to provide lasting support. Many consumers said it was effective at treating pain and in supporting overall comfort. Here is our review of Flexitrinol where we explain exactly what it can do and why it was our #1 pick for joint health.
